Recruiting OKR example
Hire the team the plan needs, on time, without lowering the bar.
The goal
Hire the next quarter's team on time
Due the end of the quarter; check in weekly. Numbers are examples - change them to yours.
| Metric | Target | Why this number |
|---|---|---|
Hires made Each check-in adds an amount | 0 people → 4 people | The outcome - each signed offer is a check-in. |
Offer acceptance rate Each check-in is the new reading | 60% → 80% | Rejected offers cost weeks; this shows whether the offer and process land. |
Time to hire Each check-in is the new reading | 50 days → 35 days (should go down) | A long process loses the best candidates first. It should go down. |
GoalNexa forecasts each metric from its check-ins and gives the goal a health badge - on track, at risk or off track - long before the end of the quarter.

In the app
- Create your free account and pick "Website" in the first-run steps (or "New goal" on the dashboard).
- Add the goal "Hire the next quarter's team on time" with its date, then its 3 metrics - start, target and unit as above. For an amount that adds up, set "Each check-in is" to "An amount to add to the total"; for a target per week or month, set "Target is for".
- Set each metric's check-in schedule to "Weekly" so reminders keep the numbers current.
Tips
- Hiring is lumpy: the forecast will swing with each hire, so read the trend, not one week.
- Keep the goal private to the hiring managers if it names roles before they're announced.
