Six months of expenses in the bank, with a monthly target and a forecast of when you'll get there.
The goal
Save a six-month emergency fund
Due the end of the year; check in monthly. Numbers are examples - change them to yours.
| Metric | Target | Why this number |
|---|---|---|
Emergency fund balance Each check-in is the new reading | $2,000 → $15,000 | The goal itself. Check in the balance each month; the forecast shows the month you'll reach it. |
Saved this month Each check-in adds an amount | $1,000 a month | The habit that fills the fund, with a hit rate over the months. |
Monthly spending Each check-in is the new reading | $3,200 → $2,800 (should go down) | The other side of saving; a number that should go down. |
GoalNexa forecasts each metric from its check-ins and gives the goal a health badge - on track, at risk or off track - long before the end of the year.
