E-commerce KPIs
Revenue, conversion and repeat buyers - the store's numbers with a monthly target each.
The goal
Grow monthly revenue with more repeat buyers
Due the end of the year; check in weekly. Numbers are examples - change them to yours.
| Metric | Target | Why this number |
|---|---|---|
Revenue Each check-in adds an amount | $50,000 a month | A monthly quota: each week's sales add up, and each month shows hit or miss. |
Conversion rate Each check-in is the new reading | 1.6% → 2.2% | Small changes here move revenue more than most ad budgets. |
Average order value Each check-in is the new reading | $48 → $55 | Bundles and thresholds show up here. |
Repeat customer rate Each check-in is the new reading | 20% → 28% | The cheapest revenue is from people who already bought. |
Return rate Each check-in is the new reading | 12% → 8% (should go down) | Revenue that comes back isn't revenue; this should go down. |
GoalNexa forecasts each metric from its check-ins and gives the goal a health badge - on track, at risk or off track - long before the end of the year.

In the app
- Create your free account and pick "Website" in the first-run steps (or "New goal" on the dashboard).
- Add the goal "Grow monthly revenue with more repeat buyers" with its date, then its 5 metrics - start, target and unit as above. For an amount that adds up, set "Each check-in is" to "An amount to add to the total"; for a target per week or month, set "Target is for".
- Set each metric's check-in schedule to "Weekly" so reminders keep the numbers current.
Tips
- Check in revenue as each week's total - amounts add up toward the month's target.
- Set the goal's check-ins to be for a week, so a late Monday entry still lands in last week.
